Nice upgrade hard drive from Samsung with Gus Peterson I've always been a fan of Samsung products and ordered this CD as an upgrade for the old DVD-ROM, which I had in my system from MPC Millennia a few years. As always, Amazon has the drive to me is very fast and this is an OEM hard drive, Amazon has in its own box, the best I've seen packaged by their competitors. The drive installed easily and works very well. I have not tried Lightscribe functionality, but I'm sure it will work. Samsung has made a really cool design of this disc. The bezel is very nice looking, much better than just a plain black front. The software supplied with the disc seems very sturdy. I like the BD Advisor, which will basically look at your system and tell you if you runn capable of Blu-Ray are. It's cool, especially for users who may not be as familiar with the various technologies for under $ 100 This is a large hard drive for an upgrade to an older system or for people to build new plants. I'm sure that building a completely new system, the drive will perform for an even higher level than memory and CPU it will bring to the max. I would recommend this drive to friends. 14 of 15 people found the following review helpful. Samsung Blu-ray Internal SATA Drive with Lightscribe SH-B083L/RSBP (Black) By D. Tsarevets Advantages: Samsung Blu-ray Internal SATA Drive with LightScribe SH-B083L is generally a very nice ride. Blue Ray playback is very good. Standard DVD playback is better than my Toshiba standalone player with HDMI connection. I have the Samsung HD DLP TV. Installation is very simple. Con: No SATA cable included. It comes with an old Power DVD8 software version that can not play after all updates, 100% new Blue Ray discs, such as 2012 or avatar. I think most units in this category, a lack of good software and cables 27 of 32 people found the following review helpful. not on Blu-Ray format / update play by Barry J. Gervais first let me say that this order came in two days from the time I asked that the packaging was great the unit was well protected in a box. I have it on my computer, installed power DVD set that came with the firmware upgrade, so I even went to upgrade to Cyberlink Power DVD10 $ 65.00 I was excited to put a Blu-ray title came in everything seemed play hit and error 0024 appeared, so I wanted to upgrade i hit OK then it successfully a new window says it can not play this format. So I went looking for a patch from Cyberlink thinking in hopes of finding a patch to correct the problem. Did the latest patch, I tried the same, so I thought that maybe the definition of the region. I checked the Device Manager to check whether I was in the U.S. region is going to power settings of DVDs in the region was good I played the same Blu-Ray on another computer and played to perfection, and I thought it may be that my PC does not support this car, but everything seemed to go well. I was perplexed! I Google the dive to ensure 62-bit Windows 7 that I could find that he supported. The next day I tried to install it on something else on the same computer I downloaded ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre 3 Platinum (CyberLink thinking maybe it was) opened the game and would not even hit play. So after two nights I fight for the replacement. Hopefully I will not have the same problem with a replacement. If this next one dose of the same thing I get a Lite-on, because I know that I have written simply does not work. I'll let you know just a small note, I do CyberLink BD Advisor all came into the green so I think it is the player. Here is an update that I received a replacement Blu-Ray Samsung SATA Lightscribe same internal SH-B083L/RSBP (Black) to install and put into play perfect replacement came in two days, again the packaging was great I love
