Gildart I bought this drive specifically for use with one of my Windows-based PCs. It works well with what I had expected, and Windows software included with the drive, is also wonderful and very welcome. I had not expected, however, that with my Macbook 1.83 GHz Core 2 Duo to work. My internal optical drive is dying, and while it is relatively easy to use a network drive for installation and material, it is certainly not so easy to go back and forth to the other desk. Documentation and all but one of the reviews were pretty clear that this is not a Mac-friendly product, so I was pleasantly surprised when Mighty MacBook jumped right on that play music CD into the drive. I was even more surprised if there is a DVD burned with the native / Finder / disc-burning program (no third party software to all participants). And I was very happy to know that there was LightScribe free download for Mac, but really did not expect the work of Snow Leopard, but they do. And that plays movies on the DVD player software. I'm not sure if my version of the DVD player is the one that came with my macbook or is it something that came with my hard snow leopard, but the films opening - incredibly fast, as a matter of fact. 38 of 48 people found this review helpful. Falsely advertised on Google. By Tobin Bushart If you are looking external Blu-Ray on google and this proved to be the number one choice WARNING! This is not the LG HD DVD and Blu-ray is announced. I was fooled by google and bought a $ 60 CD drive useless. Be careful! July 7 people found the following review helpful. LG DVD by RFK does not work with Blu-ray, as my search engine, which transformed this as an option. He does a great job for the rest of the DVD. My fault for not preparing the fine print.
